The Activator
Activator chiropractic technique utilizes a spring-loaded, handheld mechanical instrument to provide a quick, low-force impulse at specific points to correct the spinal subluxation. This instrument uses high-speed impulses to avoid muscle resistance in the movement of the joint as well as utilizing a controlled force which aids in avoiding any position that can compromise the joint like bending or twisting.
Arthrostim
The Arthrostim is a handheld device that aids in performing spinal adjustments. It works similarly to manual adjustments with some differences. The adjusting tool delivers 12-14 incremental thrusts per second in rapid successive inputs. Because of the repetitiveness of the thrusts, neurologic feedback of the receptors is activated, allowing for effective results in the correction of subluxations. It allows the doctor to maintain the effectiveness of the adjustment while reducing the amount of force, creating greater ease of the adjustment. This instrument is regularly used in the corrective phase of care since it’s been found to greatly aids in the correction of the spine.
SOT Blocks
SOT (Sacro occipital technique) is a chiropractic technique that promotes homeostasis allowing for optimal structure and function. During the chiropractic adjustment, the doctor may choose to use SOT blocks or wedges, which are positioned in specific areas under the pelvis to correct imbalances. The patient’s weight with some applied gentle pressure helps to correct these pelvic misalignments restoring the spine to its natural state. SOT is known for its safety and comfort.
Spinal Traction Units
CBP Cervical Denneroll Orthotic
The Denneroll is a pillow-like device engineered with specific angles, curves, and ridges to rebuild the lost or unstable cervical lordosis. In numerous clinical cases and randomized trials, the Denneroll has been shown to correct abnormal lordosis of the cervical spine.
Pettibon System Cervical Traction
The Pettibon cervical traction is a device used for restoring the cervical range of motion. Its patented repetitive traction aid in the rehydration of the vertebral disk through gentle stretching and restores the natural curve of the spine.
Y-Strap
The Y-Strap gets its name from the Y-axis, which is the way we regularly feel the pressure from gravity. The Y-strap is a chiropractic tool that aids in stretching the spine by pulling the head along the y axis. This slow stretch results in decompressing the vertebral discs and mobilizing the spine at a straight angle.
Pulse Massager
The pulse massager is a handheld vibration device that feels like a deep tissue massage but penetrates deep within the fascia of the body, removing adhesions that trap nerves, restrict blood flow, and movement of the muscles, therefore, stimulating the innate healing properties of the body.
